Success Story: Faye M.’s Wonderful Life

“I may forget to take other things, but I do not forget to take my Balance of Nature.” —Faye M.

______________

Faye has taken Balance of Nature supplements consistently since 2017. She is 81 years old and loves life! “I have a lot to look forward to, and I love the people that are in my life,” she says.

Faye is a retired teacher and an avid collector of antique dolls.

Dolled Up

Faye says she has liked dolls ever since she was a young girl.

“I was a sickly child and I played with dolls at a very young age, and they were my companions,” Faye shares. “I didn’t know there were any such people as doll collectors until I just happened to see a doll magazine. And then, I thought if there’s doll magazines, there’s gotta be clubs and there’s gotta be collectors. And sure enough, it’s a huge world out there, but it’s a small—it’s large—but it’s still small compared to what some other hobbies might be. But there’s regional conventions and national conventions.”

She started collecting dolls when she was in her forties.

“Several years ago I started my doll collection because I thought it might be a good investment and. . . . I enjoy the people I meet along the way. Everybody is really nice in the doll world, and we travel and there’s a lot to be learned. I could study a lifetime and I wouldn’t know everything there is to learn about the antique dolls.”

Some of the dolls she has started collecting are from the 1800s and have been around 175 years! She says although some aren’t as pretty as others, someone still made them and girls played with them, so they are very precious. She explains that, as doll collectors, they preserve and conserve and try to keep them as original as possible.

“There’s just a lot to be done, and it’s really fun. It’s just a fun hobby, I think, and it doesn’t matter how old you are. In fact, I think a lot of longevity is having an interest—people having an interest in what they do,” she says.

Something She Needed

When Faye first retired, she says she was sleeping all the time—morning, noon, and night. “That wasn’t what I wanted for my retirement,” she shares.

She explains that doll shows require energy and strength. “If I do shows, which means I sell dolls at a particular show, there’s a lot of lifting involved, setting up, tearing down, and so on. The other thing is travel. If you’re traveling across the country, you have to have really good health to be able to do that. And part of it is we love what we do.”

In addition, she will sometimes give talks at conventions, which she enjoys.

“I just have a wonderful life and so many wonderful people and friends and family. . . . And I think Balance of Nature [supplements are] the best.”

Faye first heard about Balance of Nature supplements on the radio.

“It sounded to me like it was something that I really needed,” she says. “And I think we’ve all had the experience of going to a pharmacy and looking at supplements and not even understanding the ingredients. And Balance of Nature [supplements], you understand every ingredient. There’s kale. There’s broccoli. There’s this, there’s that. I might not even eat all of those. I might not even like all of them, but I know . . . they belong in there and I’m taking them. That’s a big factor to me because I’m eating fruits and vegetables [ingredients] that I might not otherwise eat, and I just, I get up in the morning and I’m ready to go. And I think my sweetie and my family can attest to that. And I just enjoy life.”

Living Young

Faye says she and her sweetheart will ride on his motorcycle.

“We like to go out riding. We like all the regalia and ride and end up in beautiful places along other San Diego shores and the mountains up in Big Bear, California, and it’s a lot of fun to have the motorcycle and to be able to go out on it.”

She continues, “It makes me feel young to be on the back of the motorcycle and riding it and the wind is in your face . . . you feel young, you’re having a good time.”

They also walk the dogs, Teddy and Maddie, around the neighborhood almost daily.

“We take the dogs on a walk around the neighborhood, and they have their friends in the neighborhood. Teddy does not have any dog friends, but he has a lot of human friends. Everybody wants to pet Teddy because he sticks his little legs out behind him and he’s very funny. So he endears himself. Maddie is an old lady. She doesn’t like to walk as much anymore as the older dog, but she does love riding in the motorhome. She has a little window she can see out.”

Faye says she will walk Teddy if she wants to walk fast, and Maddie if she wants to walk slow.

“We all know walking is good for us, and since the doggies like to walk, it’s good to get out there with them,” she says.

Faye gets in most of her walking at the mall. “I do a lot of mall walking, and I’ve run into people and made friends because they’re mall walking. That’s probably my main activity is walking, but I stretch every morning for 20 minutes before I ever get out of bed before my feet touch this floor. I’m stretching all parts of my body and I think that really helps me start my day.”

She Won’t Ever Stop

Faye has taken Balance of Nature supplements every day since 2017.

“I’ve taken it consistently since then, and my plan is that I will never stop taking it. I’ve talked to other people about it, too, and I’ve gotten a few people to take it as well,” she says. “The ingredients in Balance of Nature [supplements] are awesome.”

She adds, “People are surprised that I’m the age I am, and so that encourages them to want to take some.”

Faye says she feels great about her life.

“I’m just going to stick with the things that I know have worked and brought me here. . . . Years ago, it might have been exercise/jazzercise, some of the popular exercising to do at the time. Now it is dancing to the music in my kitchen. It is walking with my doggies. It’s exercising before I get out of bed at the start of a morning, and I love to drive.”

She adds that she can do all the things that she wants to do.

“I’m looking forward to doing additional things as well. I never give up thinking of additional things to do. I just look forward to getting up every morning and facing the day and doing what I want to do. I also do things I don’t want to do—I clean my own home, but I’m happy that I can do it. I’m actually grateful I can clean my own home. I have a new great grandchild, my first, and I love my life with him. . . . We’re kind of the same pace, so I can play with him and it’s awesome to see that next generation coming and I’ve lived long enough to see that happen.”
