Balance of Nature customer Ronald B., age 76, loves being active. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1965 at age 17 during the Vietnam War. He said he loves being a marine, and he also loves working out in his home gym in Delaware.
“I was in the Marine Corps, and I like that the fact that working out makes me feel as though I’m back in boot camp. You know, it gives me that ‘want to’ attitude and an attitude where I want to take care of myself,” he says. “I feel phenomenal that I can work out every day.”

Ronald spends a lot of time outside, usually tending to the landscape.
Ronald says there is always something to do around his property. “You see all this laying out here? It’s always something to do. You know, either cutting grass, doing something to the trees, raking up leaves. If it’s in the wintertime, I got my snow blower out, you know. . . . Like I said, there’s always something to do on the property 24 hours a day.”
He also has a gym in his basement that he uses a few times a week. “I work out in the mornings. I do the stationary bike, the boxing bag, you know. . . . I don’t need a whole lot of equipment, just enough to keep you strong,” he shares. “When I’m working out, I feel like a marine again and I’m really happy. I feel really amazing, you know.”
Ronald says it feels great to be able to do all these things. “It feels awesome.”
