Giovanni runs a world-famous paintball operation, which serves around 500,000 customers a year, and it has been in business for over 40 years!
The Fun of Paintball and Being Outdoors
Giovanni says that paintball originated in the cattle and forest industry.
He explains, “There’s a paintball marker that marks trees and cattle. The two groups got together, they played, it was exciting, and it blew up from there. Our paintball business first started booking private groups where we got families and corporations to come out and play. A lot of things we do here are different. We focus on team building and family outings, but we have professional players that play around the world, and they make money playing paintball, and our job is to provide everybody with the playing facility.”
Giovanni loves his business and hopes to spend the rest of his life working there.
“What I love about my business is you’re outdoors,” he shares. “You’re not in the office. You’re one with the people. You spend most of your hours on our maps, and that’s what makes this business fun. It has evolved—I mean, every weekend we’ll have celebrities. Every major celebrity still plays at this park, because it’s such a different experience and, like I always say, it’s like a video game; it comes alive, and you don’t get this anywhere else. It’s fun, a lot of camaraderie with all sorts of people from all over the world coming every weekend, and it really makes it exciting.”
Giovanni says he was supposed to retire, but there’s no way he will!
He shares, “I love doing what I’m doing, and I’m not gonna stop working. That’s what’s exciting about this business. I think my last days on this planet will be here at my park because I love it so much. We get to interact with all these wonderful people, and you see thousands of people come every weekend.”

How Gio Changed His Life
In the past, Giovanni went on a journey to get healthy. “It was a really, really gigantic transition where I was to where I am today—310 pounds to 180 pounds in less than 18 months,” he shares. “When you’re going out and you really focus—like, what are you going to do to stay strong and help you, your family, and your kids? You start going through all sorts of products.”
