Success Story: “Build on the Good,” Says Customer Donna H.

“I mean, I hate to use the phrase, ‘no-brainer’, but really it is a no-brainer. I mean, you’re getting things that you might not be getting ordinarily. I wouldn’t stop it for anything.” —Donna H.

Donna H. is 77 years old and takes care of everything herself, living on three acres with three dogs and two horses. “I think that that says something,” she remarks. We agree!

A Day with Donna

Donna has a lot of animals to look after. At the beginning of the day, she’ll enjoy time on the porch with her dogs for a bit before she goes to take care of her horses.

“Lulu, my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and I get in the car. We drive down. We stop and say hello to the horses and give them carrots and little biscuits. And then I put their food out, and I bring them in one at a time. Then it goes on and on from there. From there, I start cleaning, and then if I have enough time, I brush them and play with them, and they’re just wonderful for me. They’re my family and I enjoy them a lot, but it’s a lot of work. When it gets really hot in the summertime, sometimes it takes me like two and a half hours. It’s a big part of my day, but it’s a fun part.”

Then she does it all again in the evening. She loves having her pets and her land.

“I wouldn’t want to stop it for any reason. I know people who are 77 normally don’t live like I do. It’s very important for me to keep on living. I like living out in the country where it’s quiet and there’s a lot of fresh air. You’re outside all the time. A lot of people just don’t get out, you know? As I said before: when it’s hot, I'm out there; when it’s cold, I’m out there; when it’s raining, I’m out there. I do it because I love it. I love it.”

Feeling Good About Life

To Donna, the purpose of life is to enjoy yourself every minute of every day. She says that includes keeping your vibration up and doing whatever it takes to keep yourself in a happy state.

“Animals do that for me. Fresh air does that for me. Just being able to walk around the property does that for me. It’s a big enjoyment. That’s what keeps you young, and that’s what keeps you happy. It’s important to stay happy. I think that’s the bottom line: stay happy and life’s worth living.”

Donna says she is grateful for every single thing in her life. “So many times of the day I thought, ‘Oh, I am so grateful for that breeze. I am so grateful that these dogs are so cute.’ Noises are so nice, and sometimes I just sit by the horses, sit in their stalls, and I’m just like, ‘Oh, there aren’t a lot of people in this world that have this opportunity.’ That is something I’m very, very grateful for. I’m grateful for everything in my life, and the whole thing is, if there’s anything in your life that you’re not grateful for, get rid of it. I'm working on that.”

Donna adds that quality of life matters more to her than quantity of life. “What’s the point of living long if you don't have a great quality of life?” she says.“It seems like some people are just staying alive. But not really living, right? I know that is not what I want. I want quality of life. You have to stay happy. You have to do whatever it takes to make you happy and enjoy everything you do so that you want to get up in the morning and when you go to sleep at night, you feel like, ‘Oh, it's been a good day.’ And really, animals have a lot to do with that.”

Donna agrees that exercise also has a lot to do with that. She says that if you have animals, you’re moving. You have to go and feed the animals, even if you aren’t in the mood or the weather isn’t great—you have to show up.
Donna’s Diet
For a healthy diet, Donna says she tries to eat good meals, and she doesn’t eat sweets often.

She also believes fruits and vegetables are essential components of a balanced and healthy diet. “It’s what puts your body in a good, healthy position, and it has to be on a consistent basis,” she says. “I mean, if you’re not putting the right fuel in your tank, you’re not going to get the right performance.“

Her Balance of Nature Story

Donna first saw Balance of Nature supplements on TV.

“I liked the idea because I don’t think I’m getting enough variety in my fruits and vegetables. I don’t think anybody is. So I just take 3 Fruits & 3 Veggies supplements in the morning, and I think, ‘Okay, I did something good today.’ Just a little bit every day. And it sort of—for me anyway—builds up over time. I just wish I would have started it years before I did,” she shares.

Donna says that the older you get, the more you realize how important it is to start doing more things that are good for you.

“I've been taking Balance of Nature supplements for probably five years now, and I love it,” she says. “That’s where I’m at, and I keep it up because I just wish I would have started it sooner.”

She adds, “It’s like building blocks, and I think I’m building in the right direction.”

Donna says that because it’s such an important part of her daily routine, she won’t ever stop taking Balance of Nature supplements.

“There would be no way. No—you wouldn’t be able to force me to stop taking it because I just really believe it’s an important part of my daily regimen. I would not stop taking Balance of Nature supplements ever because I really do believe that it’s building up to the positive side. I take it first thing in the morning before I start anything else.”

Balance of Nature Supplements are Better

Donna recommends reading the bottle when looking for a supplement and asking yourself what’s in it—if it’s all fillers or if it contains chemicals that you’re unfamiliar with. Balance of Nature supplements are dietary ingredients of fruits and vegetables.

“For me, Balance of Nature was better than other supplements because it’s ingredients of fruits and vegetables in little capsules, without preservatives or fillers in it. That kind of stuff turns you off. So that’s what I liked about it. The best thing is that it is food ingredients that I’m not getting on a regular basis. So that is one thing that’s important to me, and I’m taking them all the time over an extended period of time.”

Donna also stresses the importance of being consistent when taking Balance of Nature supplements.

She says, “It builds up over time. You’re just adding building blocks to yourself over and over and over. If you aren’t consistent with it and you stop taking it for a while, you’ll fall back a little. And it does take time; it’s got to be consistent, and that’s how it works for me. As you do the good stuff, then you’re building up on the positive side.”

Consistency Is Key

Donna has been a Preferred Member of Balance of Nature for about five years and says it has been a great experience.

“It’s really a good experience to know that it’s going to come once a month and always be there,” she shares. “I always have bottles ahead before I run out, and I like that. I think it’s good—they have a good system where they keep it coming before you run out.”

Donna decided from the beginning that she wanted to receive Balance of Nature supplements on a regular basis. “You can’t expect to have immediate results. You’re building your body up a little bit at a time. I think I always wanted to be on a regular delivery basis.”

To people who are unsure about Balance of Nature supplements, Donna says you have to be consistent in taking the supplements.

“Just hang in there,” she advises. “Keep doing it. Don't be looking for some immediate results. I mean, I hate to use the phrase ‘no-brainer,’ but really it is a no-brainer. I wouldn’t stop it for anything.”
