Beth is originally from Chicago but moved to Tennessee in 2015. She has been married for 25 years and has three children. Beth shared her Success Story with us alongside her dressage horse, Mo.

“I am pursuing my lifelong dream of learning to ride a horse,” says Beth. “I always loved horses and as a young girl dreamed of someday riding. And when we moved to Tennessee, I was able to pursue my dream.”

Beth Pursues Her Dream

Beth has two horses, Andy and Mo. Mo came along after Andy was injured, and Mo and Beth quickly forged a deep-seated bond.

“He’s actually one of my best friends, and he, of my two horses, is the one that’s most excited to see me when I come. He recognizes my car, he hears my voice, and he’s so happy to see me every day,” she shares.

Together, Mo and Beth are learning the skills of dressage, a kind of horse riding that develops obedience, flexibility, and balance. Although Beth is Mo’s rider, she often feels as though he is the one teaching her.

“He teaches me well, and he quickly tells you when you aren’t doing things right,” she explains. “If you have tension in your body or are too tight, you’re out of balance, he will go to whatever side you’re over-leaning on. He tells me about it. He is my teacher. So my job is to fix my body, my balance, my biomechanics, to allow him to move.”

Beth says riding is a dream but also a commitment. “Riding a horse is not like ice skating. When it gets tough, I always say, ‘You can’t pound a nail in a wall and hang up your ice skates and walk away.’ You’ve made a commitment to the horses and people that have put a lot of time into you,” she says.

Beth says if you can’t do your best one day, you come back the next day; you see it as a new day, and live in the moment.

She’s Not Horsing Around

Beth says that pursuing her dream of riding horses requires a lot of effort, so she goes to the gym to exercise regularly.

Beth shares, “I spend my time at a barn rather than in the corporate world, and I come out here five to six days a week. I am probably gone twelve hours a day. I come out and I take care of my horses; I take riding lessons and just live my best dream. My kids are gone—one is graduated, and two are in college—so it was a perfect time for me to be able to do this. I was very, very fortunate because I found a trainer that was willing to help me.”

She continues, “It’s different when you’re older. You say, ‘I want to learn to ride a horse,’ but it takes a lot of physical work. So I come to the barn six days a week. I have a personal trainer; I go to the gym and I lift weights and I work on my mobility. It’s a lot of biomechanics, and I’ve actually learned to use my body in different ways that I never even knew I could. I’ve learned a lot in learning to ride a horse. I’ve learned a thousand things and a lot about myself.”

Beth says it’s easy to hit over 20,000 steps a day being on the farm. She’s also sure to eat healthy and drink over 100 fluid ounces of water every day.

“You’re moving,” she explains. “You can go hours without sitting down. You know, just walking in general is so good for your health.”

She adds, “I want to continue to pursue the sport. I want to be around for my children, you know? And you know what? It’s a big thing because I don’t want my kids to worry about me and my husband. I want to feel good and be able to hike, ride horses, kayak, and do whatever I want to do. I don’t want to be limited by what my body can’t do.”

Beth says she quickly learned that riding is not just about sitting on a horse; it is about wellness. So she has worked hard on her physical well-being in pursuing her dream, and she decided to take Balance of Nature supplements along for the ride. Beth says she liked that she was going to get a wide variety of ingredients of fruits, vegetables, spices, and fibers by taking Balance of Nature supplements.

Finding Balance of Nature

Beth originally saw Balance of Nature supplements on TV and decided to give them a try.

She shares, “I would see the commercials about Balance of Nature supplements and I thought, ‘How could I go wrong taking ingredients of fruits, vegetables, spices, and fibers?’”

Beth says she watched a video explaining how Balance of Nature supplements are made and trusted the process. “I thought, ‘There’s nothing added to them but the ingredients of fruits, vegetables, spices, and fibers.’ So I started taking them, and I haven’t looked back.”

In addition to taking Fruits & Veggies supplements, Beth has taken the Fiber & Spice supplement for over three years.

Beth says when she first started taking the Fiber & Spice supplement, she could smell the different spices. “I thought that it smelled really good, and I figured out a way that I could take it. I put it in a cup and I take it one cup at a time,” she shares.

Beth says she will lay everything out in the morning so when she gets home she is ready to take her 3 Fruits & 3 Veggies supplements and 2 scoops of the Fiber & Spice supplement.
