Celebration, Community, and Connection with Balance of Nature
By Sianne Rawson
Amid delicious food and egg hunts, the community shared in the fun over games, music, and fabulous prizes at the Balance of Nature Easter Celebration held on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
Music, Food, and Friendship
This company-wide celebration brought team members together for an afternoon of heart-warming fun at the Balance of Nature farm in Hurricane, Utah!
To celebrate Easter and the coming of Spring, team members and their families were greeted with exciting live music from the “Dixieland Dixie Jam Band,” which is made up of Balance of Nature’s own team members. Sam, band leader and Marketing Director for Balance of Nature, commented that everyone was having a good time. When asked about the performance, he said, “I like performing; it’s fun to do! I play regularly for Balance of Nature, especially in the last year or so. I’m always happy to do it.”
Along with the energetic music, the fresh salmon and shrimp tacos, guacamole, and salsa catered from a local cafe were a big hit! The delicious and perfectly ripe fruit kabobs, provided by some of the Balance of Nature family, were particular favorites that kept people coming back throughout the event. The food and good mood were overflowing!
Dr. Douglas Howard and Susan Howard, who hosted this annual event, went around greeting people individually. For team members, this is always a special opportunity, but it was also a great experience for attending family members to shake hands with the company’s founder. Dr. Howard explained it this way: “The beauty is that our team members and their families are all part of the Balance of Nature family. We focus on living healthy lives, and family and community are a huge part of that.”
Teamwork Inside and Outside Balance of Nature
For many Balance of Nature team members, the company culture of family and service extends beyond the usual workday. This was evident on the day of the Easter celebration.
The event went off without a hitch. As prizes and decorations started to blow in the afternoon wind, team members banded together to corral them into the barn. The attitude of service shown by our team members and their families makes all the difference in the big and little moments.
The egg hunts, kids’ train rides, and competitions truly made the whole event so much fun! Allie reported that along with the delicious food, she enjoyed seeing team members’ kids interact with the Easter activities: “I really loved seeing the kids with their prizes. It was really cute!”
We want to give a big shout-out to our Balance of Nature PR Team, who planned and prepared to make this event a reality! A special thanks to a local cafe for the incredible catering and to the Dixieland Dixie Jam Band for the fantastic music!
