ST. GEORGE, UTAH– When Dr. Douglas Howard founded Balance of Nature in 1997, he had a simple desire to help people. He believed that a balanced and healthy lifestyle should include regular exercise and a whole food diet. Back in the 1980s, Dr. Howard met a man named Jon M. Huntsman who shared similar ideals. Huntsman was the principal sponsor of the Huntsman World Senior Games and Chairman of the Huntsman Corporation. Both men continue to support the belief that physical fitness and ability are not limited by age.
Beyond striving for a balanced life, we at Balance of Nature have a set of core values that we embody and exemplify to others. These values include family, accountability, righteous living, excellence in the ordinary, and passion. One of our important cornerstones is the idea of “eat, think, do.” Not only do we strive for physical health, but we also focus on our emotional health and dietary health. We are a tenacious team of productively supportive team members with a self-employed mentality and a deep desire to change the world, one life at a time.
The Huntsman World Senior Games are where passion for health and fitness truly shine. This annual international event brings together men and women aged 50 and above, making it the largest multi-sport competition for this age group in the world. For the fourth consecutive year, Balance of Nature is honored to be the World Champion Sponsor, proudly supporting both the Games and our vibrant community. We believe in the power of active living, and this local event is the perfect platform to champion those who prioritize their health and well-being.
