For over half a decade, Balance of Nature founder Dr. Howard and his family have opened their doors to share something simple, joyful, and deeply rooted in the spirit of giving: fresh oranges and a warm celebration of Christmas.
The Orange Giveaway began as a way for the Howard family and the Balance of Nature team to express gratitude to the community they love. What started as a small gesture has become a cherished gathering that reminds us all of the importance of generosity and togetherness during the holiday season. Year after year, thousands of oranges are shared as a symbol of goodwill, tradition, and nutritious foods. Oranges, along with other citrus fruits, are in season during this time of year, and Balance of Nature is thrilled to share a small portion of nature’s abundance with the community.
Visitors are welcome to stroll through the Christmas Tree Festival during the event and enjoy the fully decorated trees prepared by Balance of Nature team members. The tree displays reflect the creativity and heart that fill the workplace during Christmas time. The festival has become an anticipated part of December, offering a cheerful backdrop for families as they sip warm drinks, enjoy the music, and take in the festive atmosphere.
The legacy of the Orange Giveaway continues to grow, not only because of the oranges themselves, but because of the feeling that surrounds the event. It is a reminder of the value of community and the joy of giving freely without expectation. This year’s Orange Giveaway and Christmas Tree Festival will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1568 South River Road in St. George, Utah. The event is free and open to all!
