Balance of Nature Donates Over 3,000 Pounds of Food to Utah Food Bank

Balance of Nature was honored to host a Thanksgiving food drive this year, donating 3,880 pounds of food to the Utah Food Bank in Southern Utah. The food drive took place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Digby’s Market and Harmons Grocery in St. George. Many volunteers from the Balance of Nature team handed out lists of needed items, while others assisted in the collection of items from shoppers.

Though the Southern Utah location is less than 15 years old, the origins of the Utah Food Bank date back to 1904 when it was known as the Salt Lake Charity Association. The Utah Food Bank Southern Distribution Center opened in 2011 and serves the counties of Beaver, Iron, Washington, Garfield, and Kane. Hunger remains a significant challenge for many southern Utahns, and the Utah Food Bank plays an essential role in fighting hunger statewide. Last year—from the St. George facility alone—the Utah Food Bank distributed 7.8 million pounds of food, which is about 6.5 million meals.

Serving the community is a pivotal objective for Balance of Nature, and team members are always willing to lend a helping hand. It was a pleasure to take part in such a meaningful cause and help provide food for individuals who may otherwise go without. Events like this not only strengthen community bonds but also highlight the shared responsibility to support our neighbors. By working together with local organizations, Balance of Nature is able to make a direct and positive impact on families facing food insecurity.

The Balance of Nature team believes that supporting the community goes beyond a single event. Each effort, whether large or small, helps build a stronger foundation for those in need. The commitment shown by employees and volunteers reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to serving others whenever possible.

Looking ahead, Balance of Nature remains devoted to participating in community initiatives that uplift and support southern Utahns. The company values the opportunity to give back and will continue seeking meaningful ways to make a difference throughout the coming year.
